The strips at a glance

Tracks differ in surface texture, barrier closeness, crowd density, and lighting. Grip varies subtly: some strips bite harder at launch, others need a touch less revs to avoid spin. Run three launches on any new track before racing on it seriously.

Day vs night racing

Night tracks are the game's signature: floodlights, glowing barriers, and the tree lit up against the dark. They look incredible and they change the visual task, since the ambers pop harder against black. Our night racing tips go deep on adapting your eyes and your timing.

Picking your home track

Pick one track as your test strip and do all tuning there, so surface never confuses your results. Then take the finished tune touring. The tournament guide explains how track rotation works in competitive play.

Guide FAQs

Do tracks actually differ?

Yes. Surface grip, lighting, and atmosphere vary, and night tracks change how readable the lights are.

Which track is best for beginners?

The standard daytime strip: best visibility, grippy surface, no distractions.

Do I need different tunes per track?

Grip differences are small enough that one good tune works everywhere, but night races reward practicing your light reads.
